Getting the best results when using self service

If you’re looking to get the best self service experience at a laundromat, there area few best practices we suggest.

1) Bring a clean laundry bag that is big enough to hold all of your items.

2) Bring your preferred soap, softener, and dryer sheets or be prepared to purchase on site. Remember hangers if you want to hang dry anything

3) If possible, separate your items before going to the store. Washable laundry bags make it easy to place in the washing machine with your items.

3) Once in the laundromat, make sure to choose a machine large enough for your items. Side by side if you’re doing multiple loads. Most machines hold more than you may think so make sure to ask an attendant’s advice.

4) Load the clothes into the washer and throw in your bag(s).

5) Load the soap and softener. Most machines need much less soap than you may realize. The machines are built to be efficient.

6) Watch for the cycle to end and be prepared to remove clothing right away.

7) Wipe down a cart and load items into the cart.

8) Hang up any delicates or hang dry items and load rest into the dryer with dryer sheets. Remember to check the lint trap!

9) Add more time to the dryer than you think you may need!

10) Fold clothes, grab anything that is hanging and enjoy!
